Due to the objectives of the Tall Ships (Wales) Trust and quality aims of the event we have decided to increase the cost of the week's ticket in 2018 to £65 per vessel registration. We also collect launching fees on behalf of Lawrenny Yacht Station and this will add a further £35 per vessel using that facility making a package price of £100. Moorings need to be arranged separately direct with the Yacht Station by participants. Camping is arranged separately and the campsite will contact anyone who has indicated that they will be bringing tents/ campervans closer to the event. Individuals attending without a vessel can register and receive the festival pack for £25 a ticket, as last time. We want the event to remain accessible to all regardless of means so if you feel the new registration price is beyond your planned budget please contact us direct to discuss at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additionally we are making a bid for Visit Wales support and the package of the week may be able to include a lot more if successful.. to be announced in the newsletter.
Similarly, if you have a vessel that is registered as a charitable trust or training vessel please get in touch as soon as possible so the possibility of joint funding applications to support participation can be made.
Seafair Haven is a non-profit event run by volunteers and any profit goes to support Tall Ships (Wales) Trust to offer sailing bursaries. In 2016 the event helped us to subsidise 46 young people to sail aboard tall ships Challenge Wales and TS Pelican on ocean-going voyages. In addition we gained support from Big Lottery Fund to offer more than 30 members of local community support groups to join and interact with Johanna Lucretia schooner during art and relaxation events. Your contribution is hugely valued.
