The exhibit examines the history of the Golden Gate Strait, the body of water and land at the entrance of the San Francisco Bay. By focusing on the area before the famous bridge was imagined and built in the 1930s, the material presented surveys both the water and land through photographs, maps, paintings, as well as a sound installation.
