Sonoma Community Center- Sewn Face Mask Requests
Effective as of April 17, all members of the public are required to wear facial coverings in public as ordered under the authority of the California Health and Safety Code. We are reminded to use fabric coverings, not surgical masks or specialized N95 masks, which should be reserved for health care providers.   Additionally it's cautioned that face coverings are not a substitute for social distancing.

"The facial covering can be made using household items (including scarves, bandanas, t-shirts, sweatshirts, towels, turtlenecks, or other fabric)." (Sonoma County 4/14)

* You can follow or have someone you know follow one of the above patterns to make a mask available on
our website: https://sonomacommunitycenter.org/philanthropyfacemasks/

* Don't know how to sew?   Make a "No Sew" Mask: https://blog.japanesecreations.com/no-sew-face-mask-with-handkerchief-and-hair-tie?

* Follow these steps for a "No Sew" T-shirt Mask: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html

* If you are local and would like to request a face mask from the Sonoma Community Center, please continue below.

Remember... Make sure to use dry face coverings. When masks get wet, even from the moisture emitted when a person exhales, the fabric could be more likely to transmit virus. Also wash masks regularly, with regular detergent and in regular washing machine cycles.

To be included on our face mask distribution list. please fill out this form completely. We ask that you only request 1 mask per person.

To help continue our mask making program we are asking for a suggested donation of $5. Please donate here: https://sonomacommunitycenter.org/get-involved/donate/
