The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is an EU body created by the European Union in 2008 to strengthen Europe’s ability to innovate. Through the EIT Innovation Communities the institute strives to discover, enhance and support the development of innovative projects and ideas across Europe.

The Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) carry out activities that cover all aspects of the innovation chain from training and education to business incubators and accelerators.

Since 2015 Cleantech Bulgaria is an official partner of EIT InnoEnergy and in 2016 the company has been selected as EIT RIS Hub Manager for EIT Climate KIC, continuing to represent the community in 2022. CTBG is actively working with the EIT KICs through the years, partnering with EIT RawMaterials, also EIT UrbanMobility, becoming Hub Manager for EIT Food in 2021 and EIT Manufacturing in 2020. Having access to the vast network of EIT KICs, utilizing the knowledge, also practical experience of our experts, we support entrepreneurs and startup companies since 2012.

The team of Cleantech Bulgaria has experience in the development, coordination and implementation of large-scale European and national projects. This unique internal resource is the foundation which allows us to support the development and introduction of new products, services and business models, implementation and testing of innovative solutions and development of entrepreneurial skills and innovation management.
