MPCS Student Status Change Request Form
Please use this form to request a change to your student status. You can use this form to request a change to the following: 
  • Program of Study (9-Course Program, 12-Course Program, Pre-Doctoral Program, Joint MBA/MPCS)
  • Specialization (Application Development, Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing, Software Engineering)
  • Academic Plan (Full-time student status or Part-time student status)
Once submitted, please allow time for MPCS Student Affairs to review your change request and provide a follow-up. Changes to Specializations will only be updated if the request is submitted before in Week 4. If you are submitting your request after Week 4, it cannot go into affect until the next academic quarter. 
Approvals are not guaranteed and are granted based on space in reqired classes and / or fulfilment of prerequisites.  "My Planner" (Stellic) is the student-facing system that you can use to track progress based on the current program of study.  system that you will be able to track your progress based on your program of study. If you have questions about this form, please contact admin-mpcs@lists.uchicago.edu.

Please note: students in the 9-Course and 12-Course programs cannot switch into the Joint MBA/MPCS program or the Pre-Doctoral Program. Joint MBA/MPCS program students who want to return to Booth only status should discuss this change with the Booth administration.
