SnapIT/YMCA Career Academy
Learn while you earn and prepare for a career in the growing tech industry. The YMCA of Greater Kansas City and SnapIT Solutions are partnering to offer this unique career development opportunity for those employed by the Y's Before and After School Y Club programs. This program is the result of a partnership with Workforce Partnership, SnapIT and the YMCA of Greater Kansas City.  

Program participants can begin SnapIT self-paced courses immediately and have in-person and virtual access to instructors.

Benefits include:

-Cost-free Tech Training for Before and After School Y Club associates who meet program qualifications and live in Johnson County, Kan., OR work for the YMCA in Johnson County.  
-$4,200 training stipend in addition to Y Club salary (an addition of approximately $4 per hour to regular Y Club salary).
-Free laptop for Y Career Academy participants
-Self-paced courses that participants can begin immediately.
-Weekly in-person or virtual access to SnapIT instructors.
-Part-time IT apprenticeships are available while participants are still working at the Y.
-$1,500 child care subsidy for those meeting eligibility guidelines.

-Project Management

-Software Development - Java
