Project Objectives Survey: New Developments at 1798-1812 Weston Road & 1830-1844 Weston Road
Help us to determine and confirm our project objectives for our two new projects: 1798-1812 Weston Road and  1830-1844 Weston Road!

This survey pertains to both new projects and only needs to be filled out once.

What is a project objective? It is a parameter that drives/informs the concept design process. You can think of project objectives as 'first principles'.  Your input on the preliminary project objectives listed below will inform the concept design for both of our new projects on Weston Road.

We also welcome your ideas for any additional project objectives!

Following this survey, we will finalize the project objectives for both of our new projects. We will share these findings on our project websites at www.1798weston.ca and www.1830weston.ca. We are also planning a community update meeting in June 2022, where we will review the project objectives and provide further updates, including preliminary design concepts.

Our design team will refer back to the final project objectives throughout the design and approvals process.

There will be additional future opportunities to participate in the planning approvals and design process. Check our project website for regular updates and sign up for our mailing list by providing your email address below. We will email all community stakeholders on our mailing list and update the project websites when the update meetings are scheduled.

Castlepoint Numa is committed to the revitalization and positive transformation of Weston Village.

As you may be aware, we are partners with the Weston Park Baptist Church, a community steward that has been on site for over 100 years, for the redevelopment of 1865-1885 Weston Road. Check out our project website at www.westonpark.ca.

It is our opinion that in order to enact real change, we must invest in both sides of Weston Road. That is why we have assembled two new sites and, with your input along with other community stakeholders, we will be redeveloping the two new sites at 1798-1812 Weston Road and 1830-1844 Weston Road to the same high architectural standard as our Weston Park project.

The Future Home for Frontlines
Castlepoint Numa is a strong supporter of Frontlines. When their previous rental building was damaged in a storm in the spring of 2020, Councillor Nunizata asked us if there was anything we could do assist in finding them a temporary location. We worked quickly to move them into our property at 1798 Weston Road, and invested in additional upgrades to the property to assist Frontlines in realizing their programming aspirations. These upgrades included building out a restaurant quality catering kitchen, cleaning up and securing the rear yard, and creating a side yard for outdoor seating and a variety of uses.

Castlepoint Numa is committed to assisting Frontlines to ensure that they have a suitable and sustainable location to continue their vital community programming.

We'd love to hear about your priorities for improvements. These improvements could be related to Weston Road, the sidewalks, open spaces, pedestrian connections, or retail/entrepreneurship opportunities in your community. What are your priorities that you would like to share with us? *
Lastly, are there issues in your community that should be considered and potentially addressed through new development that you want to share with the project team?

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey!
We will update our project website with the community feedback received in the next few weeks. Once our concept design is ready, we will circulate a short digital video illustrating the proposal. The digital video will be followed by a Public Open House to review the concept design together.
