1. Please only submit institutions located in the United States, we are not including Canada at this time. We pair all institutions with a USA specific living wage estimate, the MIT Living Wage.
2. Departments submitted should be Biology, Evolution and Ecology, Botany or Zoology like. Departments that only conduct research connected to medical schools are not being collected. This tool is made for benchmarking salaries and advocating for raises. An EEB departments funding is very different than one that has internal funding from clinical work or biomedical related applications. To an extent, w
e try to match the departments/universities that could be listed on EcoEvoJob.net.
3. Only report PhD stipends. Though MS stipends are important to benchmark, we couldn't find MS stipend information for all universities included and thus opted to omit this information from our database.
4. Have direct sources in the department and report specific to a department, rather than the university minimum.
