Food Sector Employer Survey
FoodChain is hosting a Food Force for unemployed and underemployed members of our community here in Lexington. For this program we are recruiting participants looking to connect with careers in the food system. They are receiving hands on training in our kitchen in safety, sanitation, knife skills, FIFO, HACCP, units of measure, understanding recipes and basic kitchen math, local and seasonal produce, meat and seafood handling basics, and job readiness. The program is 8 weeks long and meets for 12 hours each week. We will have multiple sessions, looking to have at least 3 graduating classes of 8-12 individuals this year (2018).

For this program we have space for you to come talk to these prospective employees during our class sessions, host them for an off-site externship, or to be listed among our job placement sites so that as they graduate they would have the option of being hired at your local food business!

If you are interested in any of these options, please fill out the form below so we can communicate best with our participants and ensure that they know that you are interested as well as all the benefits of being an employee at your business! We are looking to create careers, so please keep in mind that jobs offered here must have upward mobility potential for our participants to grow in Lexington's local food sector!
