Promoting understanding of the potential benefits of musical education on neurodevelopment and degeneration, targeting the early education sector - website
Hello, my name is Tori, and I am currently in my final year of the Medical Sciences BSc at the University of Exeter. Prior to and alongside this, I am a keen musician; so, when the opportunity arose to choose my final year project, I knew I had to integrate this interest in some way. My project aims to summarise current research on the effect of musical instrument training on the brain throughout life and highlight the importance of integrating this into early education. To achieve this, I have created a website and would greatly value your time and feedback as music education professionals to help further its development. With the current policy climate placing musical education at risk, I believe this information, if made more widely known, could inform positive change within the early education sector. Thank you!
