Penn Emerging Scholars Program (PESP)

The Penn Emerging Scholars Program (PESP) is for freshman and sophomore students interested in math and/or computer science to get together in small groups for 90 minutes per week for 7 weeks in the fall semester and work on logical and algorithmic problems with undergraduate peer leaders. If you want to meet peers interested in the same intellectual topics that you are and learn more about the math and computer science disciplines, PESP may be for you!

In PESP, there are no homeworks, projects or tests and no programming. However, you must attend every workshop unless you receive an excused absence. A limited number of students will be selected for this workshop.

PESP meets once a week from the week of October 17th through December 6th, 2018. Students should indicate the workshops that they are able to attend: the Wednesday workshop 6:00 to 7:30 PM in 307 Levine or the Thursday workshop 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in 512 Levine. The workshop series will culminate in a reunion party with PESP current and former participants and undergraduate peer leaders on December 12th.
