Please fill out the following form so we can set up a time and place to distribute the emergency contraception!
If you have an allergy to Levonorgestrel or are currently taking medications that may interact negatively with Levonorgestrel, we recommend contacting a medical professional or reaching out to the Bedsider Birth Control Hotline at (888) 321-0383 or Vagisil's Hotline at 1 (800) 719-9260. We do want to warn against anti-choice hotlines like “OptionLine” that disguise themselves as pro-choice organizations for those seeking pro-choice centered care.
Foggy Bottom Plan B distributes Preventeza, which is a one tablet, one dose emergency contraceptive that helps prevent pregnancy after birth control failure or unprotected sex. Preventeza contains 1.5 mg of Levonorgestrel. Preventeza should be used as directed within 72 hours of unprotected sex for best efficiency, but can be used up to five days after intercourse. Preventeza is not for regular birth control and does not protect against STIs. Preventeza will not work if you are already pregnant.
If you or someone you know is an imminent danger to themselves or someone else, please call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. If you’re thinking about suicide, are worried about a friend or loved one, or would like emotional support, please contact the national suicide hotline: 1-800-273-8255.
