Awards are as follows:
The Mustang Award - volunteer or staffThis award is presented by Mead PTSA to recognize outstanding contributions to the school and community for the current school year. This award is for an individual who has made a significant difference in our children's lives. This person is a excellent role model for students and has provided service beyond the call of duty. This person can also be someone who works "behind the scenes" to make an impact.
Children's Award - volunteer or staffThis award is presented by PTSA to honor those individuals who enrich our children’s lives. The Children’s Award Plaque in the office reads: “Margaret Mead studied and knew growing children in various cultures and was their friend. We recognize the following for sharing and enriching the lives of our children…”
A Golden Acorn Award - volunteerThis award is presented by Mead PTSA to a school or community volunteer in recognition of her or his dedication and service to children and youth. This volunteer has given outstanding service to all children in the school and contributes to a variety of different areas and activities. Upon presentation of the Golden Acorn award, the individual is given a gold pin the shape of an acorn and a certificate. Mead PTSA also contributes $50 in the person’s name to the WA State PTSA Financial Grant Foundation. This Foundation provides scholarships each year to high school students pursuing additional education.
