Description:
The PGN MVP Awards program is a national recognition program open to all PGN members in good standing. The purpose of this program is to recognize members who have gone above and beyond to further the success of their chapter, to showcase the best-in-class examples of leadership and to celebrate the diversity of talent amongst our membership.

Three winners will be selected and those winners will have an opportunity to win a paid trip to the National Convention, February 7 - 9 in Atlanta at the National Convention and be recognized nationally. The I Am PGN senior award (the fourth category) will be offered a gift in lieu of a trip to the convention.

Overall Qualifications
Nominees must not be a member of the executive board or serving as president.
Nominees must be...
active members who have served at least one semester.

Chapters may submit one name for all or any of the following categories. One application per chapter.
The Rising Star Award
This award recognizes the emerging leader who has strong executive board potential. Their record should reflect a hunger for responsibility and a history of effective execution skills. Successful candidates are in their first 1 - 3 semesters, have not yet obtained an executive-level position, but their track record reflects high potential.

Nominators should summarize the nominee’s achievements and growth, and specifically describe why this individual should be recognized as a “Rising Star” in the chapter.

Qualifications: Strong potential for an executive-level position. In their first 1-3 semesters in the Chapter.

Nominations should highlight: Achievements (in and out of the chapter). Positions held or responsibilities taken. Specific examples of leadership and execution skills.

The PGN MVP Award
This award is for the unsung member who always steps up to the occasion and ensures whatever needs to get done is done. This person’s track record should demonstrate that they continuously go above and beyond, are willing to step outside their comfort zone to help others, and push PGN members to execute with excellence.

Nominators should focus on the projects this member has contributed to and how they impacted its outcome. Examples of initiatives that faced near crisis but this member swooped in to help, everyday examples of how they contribute to the chapter, or ways in which this member has gone above and beyond what was asked of them.

Qualifications: Go-getter of the chapter. Facilitates growth of the chapter. Is reliable and dedicated.

Nominations should highlight: Specific examples of the individual stepping up to the occasion. Demonstration of “I can” attitude.

The Entrepreneur Award
This award is for the member who most exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit of PGN. It is not necessary that they have started their own business, but rather that they are focused on continuously innovating and improving. This individual is always suggesting new ways to look at old challenges, often suggests and helps execute new programs or events, and isn’t afraid to take risks and try something.

Nominators should focus on how this member has driven impactful, innovative accomplishments within their chapter to further accelerate the individual and chapter as a whole.

Qualifications: Entrepreneurial mindset. Developed innovative ideas to grow the chapter.

What to highlight in the nomination: Achievements. Specific examples of entrepreneurship.

THE I AM PGN Award (for Seniors)
This person most exemplifies the spirit of PGN. They are driven to success and devoted to your members, mentoring new members and encouraging members to be involved. They have been instrumental in creating a stronger organization, making the future of PGN brighter.

This person will receive a gift in lieu of a trip to the convention.

Nominators should focus on this member’s overall achievements, roles held, and other ways this person regularly impacts the chapter as a whole.

Qualifications: Senior. Embodies core values of PGN. Always strives to make the chapter more successful.
