ESSA Implementation
This form is a place for comments and questions regarding the implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the new federal education law, which was signed into law in December 2015. Many provisions of the law, including those related to accountability and school improvement do not take effect until the 2017-18 school year. The U.S. Department of Education has also proposed regulations related to accountability and state plans.

State Superintendent Tony Evers is inviting stakeholders from across the state to discuss ESSA implementation and provide us with input on issues such as how the state uses federal education dollars to help ensure that all students have equitable access to a high-quality education. This feedback form is one way in which we are soliciting feedback to help the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction develop a state plan to be submitted to the United States Department of Education.
