Which Fund/Grant are you Requesting?

New Church Exploration Grant - Although larger amounts may be made for longer projects, this grant is designed to provide exploration money to determine if there is interest and viability in an area for a new church.

Dream Ministry Seed Fund - The Dream Ministry Seed Fund is designed to help support new ministry ideas throughout congregations in Virginia. Sometimes it just takes a little seed money to help a new dream come true.

Project/Ministry Description (Provide a narrative description of the new ministry/project knowing that the committee will not have any prior knowledge or understanding. You should include, but not be limited to, the following: 1) How did the ministry idea arise? 2) What needs are addressed? 3) Will this ministry involve other DOC churches and/or others in the community? 4) Does/will your church/ministry support this ministry? 5) Do not be afraid to tell us a story with details that help explain what the ministry is or will be. 6) How will you know/evaluate if it had an impact and made a difference? 7) What might you provide to share and inform the wider church about this ministry if you were to receive a grant? 8) Be willing to meet via zoom with the Administrative Council to answer questions. 9) How does this meet the Elsie Tease or Carrie Burwell Principle? (See brochure)
