Astronomy-During Astronomy students will learn about the Earth's moon. They will work on hands-on activities and a presentation about the Moon. The dates for the Astronomy Section are: Oct. 3, Oct. 4, Oct. 10, Oct. 11, Oct. 17, Oct. 18, Oct. 24, Oct. 25, Oct. 31, Nov. 1.
Coding- Students will learn computer programming using the website code.org. Coding can help students understand logic and problem solving. The dates for the Coding Section are: Nov. 7, Nov. 8, Nov. 14, Nov. 15, Nov. 28, Nov. 29, Dec. 5, Dec. 6, Dec. 12. Dec. 13.
Engineering-Students will follow the design process to build projects such as straw rockets, and hot air balloons. Engineering relies heavily on teamwork, math, and design. The dates for the Engineering Section are: Jan. 16, Jan. 17, Jan. 23, Jan 24. Jan. 30, Jan. 31, Feb. 6, Feb. 7, Feb. 13, Feb.14.
Marine Biology-Students will take trips to Hudson Park to investigate and study the Long Island Sound. During this time students will measure different aspects of the sound using tools like thermometers. Dates for the Marine Biology Section are: March 13, March 14, March 20, March 21, March 27, March 28, April 3, April 4, April 10, April 11.
