To surrender a Great Dane, please complete the Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue (FFGDR) Surrender Form.
If multiple dogs are being surrendered, a
surrender form must be completed for EACH DOG.
This form is REQUIRED before the organization considers accepting any dog. Providing comprehensive information on the reason for surrender, such as behavior issues, medical history, and general history is necessary to properly place the dog in a foster home, and eventually their forever home.
It is crucial to prioritize safety, considering our foster homes often have other pets and/or children. Therefore, aggressive Great Danes or those with a bite history CANNOT be accepted.
Completion of the form does not guarantee acceptance, and due to foster home or fund limitations, placement on a waiting list may be necessary. FFGDR will review the application, assess the Dane for suitability, and inform you of the surrender status.
Note that FFGDR reserves the right to revoke acceptance at the time of surrender due to factors such as aggression, lack of medical records, or misrepresentation of information.
Please understand that as an all-volunteer organization, our response may take up to 48 hours.
Additionally, the process of finding a foster home and arranging transport requires time, so anticipate a waiting period before acceptance of your Great Dane.
