Student to Student (STS) is a program of Ida Crown Jewish Academy with funding from the JUF.
STS welcomes all Jewish teens in the Chicagoland area to apply!
Student to Student is a program which prepares Jewish teens from all denominations of Judaism to present about Judaism in public and Catholic high schools with low to no Jewish population. The goal of the program is to educate others about Judaism and Israel, and to raise awareness about antisemitism through informal and fun peer-to-peer presentations.
Student to Student is also a great opportunity for Jewish teens from all different backgrounds to work together. Each presentation is comprised of 4-5 Jewish teens presenting on topics such as the Jewish life cycle, Shabbat, the Holocaust, Israel, Kosher dietary practices, Jewish holidays, and their lives as Jewish teens.
Student to Student is a great program with a flexible time commitment! Student to Student presenters can choose the presentation times that fit best with their school schedules. We ask that participants present at least 1-2 times per semester, though there are opportunities to present more frequently for participants with more availability. Currently all presentations are taking place over Zoom, though we hope to be back in person later in the school year.
