Brews and Que Registration 2023
The Village of Marvin will be hosting a cookoff for residents to come out and showcase their meat cooking abilities. The entry fee to cook will be $150, this includes all your meat and the registration fee. The gates will be open to the cookers to enter Efird park as early as 5:00PM on Friday, November 17th. You will have until the doors open to the public at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 18th to finish smoking/grilling your meat. Each team will be provided with two Boston Butts (8-10 Pounds each) and three whole chickens. Contestants will need to provide their own gas grill, charcoal grill or smoker for the cookoff. The meat can be picked up at Village Hall on Friday, November 17th between 4:00 - 5:00PM. You can marinate your meat, but there will be no pre grilling. The meat must be cooked on site, at Efird park.

Once the gates open to the public, you will serve the food as samples to everyone. Each team is encouraged to bring side items to serve as samples as well. It is not mandatory. The judges will try everyone's food and a winner will be awarded a grilling themed prize basket! The Village hopes that you will come out and showcase your grilling abilities!
