Nominees may be submitted by Chamber and community members of the public. Self nominations are also encouraged. Nominees will be asked to accept their nomination and to complete a brief nomination package. Nominees are eligible for consideration in one award category per year in addition to the People’s Choice category. (Upon multiple category nominations the Nominee must decide which category they would like to stand in). The People’s Choice Award is open to the public for voting.

Award Categories are:
1. Hal McCarney Hospitality and Tourism
2. Business Achievement
3. Entrepreneur (business person)
4. Social Impact (includes environmental and humanitarian efforts – previously Keeper of the Islands)
5. Skilled Trades
6. New Business
7. People’s Choice (previously Keeper of the Gates)
