Nomination: Mentoring of Undergraduate Student Research Award
Purpose: OKCU’s Mentoring of Undergraduate Student Researcher Award honors a faculty member whose outstanding mentoring and instruction has transformed the student’s undergraduate experience. The award is presented once every academic year.

1. Eligibility - a) All full-time faculty members are eligible for this award; b) The award recipient is not eligible again for five years.

2. Criteria - Each nominee will be assessed against the following principals:
a) Evidence of exceptional instructional performance leading to excellent scholarly research by undergraduate students through research assignments, guidance in and support of research (models, procedures and activities);
b) Evidence of exceptional mentoring leading to excellent scholarly research;
c) Publication and/or presentation of research by undergraduate students (although publication or presentation is not necessary);
d) Quality of Research;
e) Evidence of student research (sample papers, copies of publications, etc.).

3. Procedure for Nomination - Any full-time faculty or administrator may nominate by this link. A student nomination survey will be sent to the student body at the beginning of the spring semester.
