E-Crew (Community Service), C-Crew (Campus Climate), V-Crew (Freshman transitions), and ASB (spirit) all work together to promote leadership, positive school climate, school spirit, and overall school improvement. The leadership program consists of 4 leadership classes.
Leadership Program Goal: Build a strong school culture through leadership and collaboration.
E-Crew is service leadership that will focus community outreach servicing the El Capitan community as camus as well as the Lakeside community. E-Crew will run various service activities such as the book drive, blood drives, on campus peer tutoring, Adopt-A-Family, and other service activities. This class is open to grades 9-12.
C-Crew is a climate leadership class that will focus on uniting our El Capitan community through activities like Red Ribbon Week, Yellow Ribbon Week, Multicultural Week and addressing various issue on campus. As a C-Crew leaders your focus will be to continue a positive culture on campus through listening to your peers and addressing their needs. This class is open to grades 9-12.
V-Crew is a mentor program that focuses on freshmen as they transition into high school as well as new students transitioning into our community. As a V-Crew leader you will run Freshmen Orientation before school starts, SOS throughout the course of the first semester, Unity Days and various other activities that focus on a smooth transition into our school. V-Crew leaders are encouraged, but not required to, take the V-Crew class. The V-Crew class will focus on the freshmen class and teaching leadership skill that will help you be mentor to the freshmen. This program is open to 11th and 12th graders.
ASB is a spirit leadership class that will focus on promoting school spirit. This is a student government class and is open to all grade levels. ASB puts on school spirit activities such as Homecoming, various lunchtime activities, Mr. Vaquero, and promotes all school activities through various publicity methods.
