Actors will participate in ONE of our three productions from this semester based on their grade/expressed interest. MainStage Productions are open to students in grades 4th -12th. Our semester will be a little different as we are adding performance classes for our actors in 2nd-4th grades.

KIDS Performance/Acting Class (2nd-4th)
This new class will allow our younger students to develop their musical theatre skills. They will perform at the Metropolitan Theatre in two ensemble numbers in JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH JR. (see more info below on dates) and will also prepare their own showcase in-studio to show what they have learned. This class will meet on Fridays from January to April.
MTC MainStage Production (MSP):
JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH JR: 4th-8th grades; dress rehearsals/shows MARCH 9th-15th @ The Metropolitan Theatre.
Any actor in 3rd grade who has previously been in an MTC production may audition for the show, however, if the directors believe they could benefit from classes, they will be placed in the KIDS Performance/Acting Class.
Load in to the Met Theatre is March 9th; dress rehearsals March 9th-11th; shows March 13th-15th; There is a possibility of school shows for this production. If so, there will be school shows on the mornings of 12th and 13th. Public shows will be the 13th @7:00, the 14th @ 2:00 and 7:00 and the 15th @ 2:00.
SWEENEY TODD: 8th -12th grades; dress rehearsals/shows MAY 4th-10th @ The Metropolitan Theatre
Rehearsals will begin in January.
Load in to the Met Theatre is May 4th; dress rehearsals May 4th-6th; Public shows will be the 7th @ 7:00, the 8th @ 7:00, the 9th @ 2:00 and the 10th @ 2:00 (We may try to load in on Sunday the 3rd. We will keep you posted)
SIX: TEEN EDITION: 6th-12th grades; dress rehearsals/shows JUNE 8th-14th @ The Metropolitan Theatre
Rehearsals will be sporadic in early months but will begin in earnest in late March.
Load in to the Met Theatre is June 8th; dress rehearsals June 8th -10th; Public shows are tentatively the 11th @ 7:00, the 12th @ 7:00, the 13th @ 7:00 and the 14th @ 2:00
Tech Week: Tech week consists of dress rehearsals and the performances and attendance is mandatory; it is a very busy week! After the final performance, all must help with strike (moving all items out of the theatre).
*Directors may want an actor from outside of grade cut offs for their production. If this happens, families will be contacted before casting.*

December 9th from 5:00-7:30
December 11th from 6:00-8:30
December 15th from 5:00-7:00 (Only for James and the Giant Peach!)
December 16th from 5:00-7:30
December 17th from 5:00-7:30 (Only for James and the Giant Peach!)
December 18th from 6:00-8:30
December 19th from 5:00-7:00 (Callbacks - we will contact any actor we wish to see again with cuts of songs we would like to hear them sing.)
Auditioning is not required. More information on auditions below.
More details on payment information is provided later in this form. However, please note that those registering will need to pay their $100 Registration fee (you will be sent an invoice for electronic payment via email) or submit a scholarship application by January 5th

Not paying your registration fee or otherwise reaching out to make alternate payment arrangements may impact casting and/or we may have to move on to invite others on a waitlist to join. If you decide you no longer wish to participate please let MTC Artistic Director Heath Kale know as soon as possible.
