Join BGR and guest facilitators lara and ridhi for a weekend filled with community building, connecting to the land and skill sharing.
- Camping!- We will be camping in tents! Bring bugspray. Oxbow has bathrooms and free showers.
- Community!- This is a family campout, so each youth must be accompanied by at least one parent. youll also have time to get to know one another during our down time.
- Swimming!- If you and your family would like to take a dip, you are welcome to enjoy the water at oxbow. We have a supply of life vests available.
- Activities!- This campout has been designed by our lovely youth board! we will learn some skills from one another and take home some sweet crafts
- Food!- For breakfast we will do an Oat Meal and fruit buffet. lunches will include a sandwich and some type of snack, and for dinner we will work together to make cultural dishes
This camp is for BIPOC youth ages 7-14, (who identify as girls, trans girls, nonbinary, genderfluid and gender expansive) and their families.
Donations will be accepted for this camp and no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Your donations help us pay for things like facilitators, food and space. Any amount is appreciated but not expected.
NOTE: Please make sure that your youth has enrolled in BGR before registering for this camp
