Briarpatch Board & Portfolio Application - 2024
~* Hello! *~

Briarpatch is in need of 3 folks with capacity to help support its work approx. 6-8 hours a month as we undertake the implementation of a 3 year strategic plan for this scrappy magazine! We are calling all magazine and progressive workplace vision-ers, those with non-profit board and/or publishing experience, and lovers of project management and that serotonin boost when you cross something off your list!  Especially (but not only) if you are based or have connections to the prairies!

We meet for 2 hours once a month, and there is an expectation of approximately 1-2 hours of committee work outside of regular meetings, and the remaining 2-4 hours a month being for individual tasks, meeting prep, and outreach / BP championing.

If you are interested in applying but don't feel like you see yourself in the description above or have any other questions about the application, please contact Connor at chair@briarpatchmagazine.com, and she will be more than happy to chat about it :)

Applications are due Thursday November 14th and the AGM where the Directors will be elected will be held on November 20th at 7pm CST, 8pm EST - check out our website for more info on the AGM! And on that same page, you can find more information about the strategic plan and the work we will be undertaking as a part of it as well.

If you would rather answer questions by voicenote rather than written, or have any other access needs to be able to apply, contact Connor at chair@briarpatchmagazine.com <3
