Each time Emily Harstone offers one of the following classes through the Writer's Workshop at Authors Publish, there is now an opportunity for two writer who identify as BIPOC to take it for free.
Her classes have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and many of her students have gotten their work published. She's had many repeat students.
The classes she offers scholarships for are: Manuscript Publishing for Novelists, The Novel Writing Workshop, and Submit, Publish, Repeat. You can learn more about her courses here:
https://authorspublish.thinkific.com/Please only enter your name into the running if you identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color. Students will be selected via a lottery system, and if you've been selected you cannot enter it again.
The system will re-set every year so if you did not get chosen during a calendar year, you can re-enter your data for the new year. This is to avoid any of the data becoming too out of date.
The way these courses work is that students have access to the material and feedback for six months after the course is over and the course is largely asynchronous.
The scholarships will be given out on a rolling basis, whenever a new session of one of the courses is offered.
