Each 5 month cycle, the program will consist of 15 participants who will gain hard skills and develop a stronger understanding of four key elements within the recording arts. Participants get to identify the project that they will work towards while the program facilitator oversees the curriculum and completion of this project. The program facilitator will act as a personal coach to each participant throughout the 6 month duration of the program. BMM’s program facilitator will implement goals and different learning opportunities to ensure each participant’s ILP reflects the needs of the participant in respect to their skills and abilities. Participants will be introduced to, taught and trained on industry standard equipment and software. Participants will also be plugged into a larger community of arts and culture through field trips, educational opportunities and BMM’s partnerships with other arts organizations throughout the city of Toronto. Participants are required to attend 9 mandatory workshops over the course of the term in order to graduate and record their progress through monthly checkins with the program leader.
We are accepting 15 artists, producers and/or engineers. Everyone who applies will be asked to come in for an interview. Application deadline is May 15, 2017.
