Change of Bar/Bat Mitzvah Date Request
By signing this document, we understand the following:
-The professional staff of Sinai Temple has attempted to assign a date for my child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah according to the procedure adopted by the Sinai Temple Board of Directors
-The policy of the congregation is to assign the closest date immediately after the thirteenth anniversary of the child’s Jewish birth date.
-Dates are not changed unless there is a compelling and significant reason for the change.
-All requests will be processed in order of their post-mark.
-The professional staff will review our request and attempt to provide us with alternative dates and/or venues if possible. Sinai Temple makes no guarantee of changing the current assigned date or venue.
-Confirmation of a change in date or venue shall be sent to the above address in writing. The first change of date or venue is at no cost.
-A second request for a change of date or venue needs to be accompanied by a check in the amount of $300.00 for administrative costs, which is not refundable. Each additional request after the second needs to be accompanied by a check in the amount of $500.00.
-If canceling the date, Sinai Temple must receive this request eighteen (18) months prior to the assigned date in order to receive a refund of the deposit.
-Lainer School families should check the party and reception schedule maintained by the Lainer office.
