NU Service Day 2019
Northeastern Service Day will take place on Saturday, October 19th.

Northeastern Service Day is designed to allow students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to get to know the neighborhoods where we learn, live, and work by providing one day of direct service to support the mission and goals of our committed community partners across Boston. Teams range in size from approximately 5-25 and typically support park clean ups, gardening/weeding, facility maintenance (painting, grounds work, etc.), supply/material organizing and one day event support. Projects range from 2-5 hours and begin between 9:00am and 11:00am

We've found that service is most meaningful when volunteers are provided with context for the work they're doing. We ask that a member of your staff provide Service Day volunteers with an overview of your organization's mission, brief tour of the organization, and discuss how the service day project will support your mission and organization.

Each project will have 1-2 team leaders who will support the Northeastern Service Day group at your organization. They will be responsible for assembling the team, traveling to the location of service, checking in with the staff on site, facilitating a post-service reflection, and guide the group back to campus.

If you have any questions about Northeastern Service day, Please contact Tim Krumreig, Assistant Director of Community Service Programs and Events at t.krumreig@northeastern.edu.
