This media registration notifies The Carter Center and GSW of your intention to access the courtesy broadcast location at Georgia Southwestern State University, 800 Georgia Southwestern State University Drive, Americus, Georgia. This location is available beginning at 5 a.m. on DAY 4, Monday, 11/27/23. Media must be in place by 8 a.m. You must choose between the courtesy broadcast locations in Americus (PSMC or GSW), or have enough staff and resources for both locations.

WANF-TV will provide the pool feed of this 15-minute pause of the funeral procession at GSW, during which wreaths will be placed in memory of the former First Lady, a GSW graduate who established the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers.

A media area will be designated at the front entrance to the Rosalynn Carter Health and Human Sciences Complex for unilateral media that wish to independently record this event or do stand ups. The setting includes a statue of Mrs. Carter in front of the building. Limited parking for media trucks and cars is available. No power will be provided. No tents are allowed. Be prepared for a cable throw of 700-1000 feet. We encourage mobile units and wireless transmission for this brief event.
