We're excited for you to join us in our 12th year of Anime Milwaukee (AMKE). Last year, we had over 11,000 attendees join us as we celebrated anime, cosplay, and gaming in downtown Milwaukee. This year we return to the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Wisconsin Convention Center for another fantastic year.
Press access is a powerful tool and privilege. We limit the amount of badges to vetted members of the media. Priority will be given to national, regional, and local affiliates. We will then distribute badges to fan media in order of prominence.
Student journalists are always encouraged to apply!
Are you interested in helping us push our event on your respected medias? Let your audiences know that you’ll be here.
Individuals registering for press passes must represent a legitimate publication or media company and register ahead of time.
Anime Milwaukee will be accepting web-based, broadcast and print media publications. Freelance photographers and documentary film or video makers will NOT be granted press passes as they are not a circulation media. Social media 'pages' or 'groups' are not recognized by Anime Milwaukee as a primary outlet for reporting of our event. Your publication must be one of the accepted media types on our form. It is acceptable if your publication uses social media to advance circulation of your reports.
Previously accepted fan press will have their past articles and content checked to ensure that they shared their AMKE experience in a timely and appropriate manner.
The Press Manager reserves the right to refuse badges to anyone who has not sufficiently met the standards of fandom press and media partners as outlined in this form.
The Press Manager reserves the right to request proof of audience in the form of metrics or other qualitative data to ensure that badges are only distributed to legitimate press outlets.
Falsification of press credentials, metrics, or information is grounds for rejection from the visiting press corps, removal of membership from Entertainment and Culture Promotion Society, and in some cases, grounds for civil legal action.
Concerns about acceptance or rejection should be first sent to the Press Manager, then escalated to the Communications Director as necessary.
A list of all sessions will be shared when visiting press check in. You will be expected to register for sessions while checking in.
There is no requirement to attend these sessions.
If you do register for a guest session, you should make every attempt to arrive promptly and be ready to engage with our guest. Failure to attend a previously registered guest session will be noted and used in criteria for consideration of future activities with ECPS.
We value fair and constructive criticisms of our event. We do appreciate accurate reports of our event and hope you'll help us grow the Milwaukee, and Wisconsin, fan community by sharing your positive experience.
Online publications will be shared on our website as well as our Social Medias as our "thank you" for your coverage, we hope that you gain some more followers.
We welcome any donations of any raw photos and videos for archiving and marketing purposes. In the event that materials are used from a publication, then that publication will be appropriately credited.
Clip reels or highlight reels are allowed.
The masquerade will have limited seating, and press members who do not register in advance for this event in the press office may forfeit the opportunity to have reserved seating.
