Snektober Student Showcase Application Form (Not Quite PyConAU 2022)
Every year, one of the highlights of PyConAU is the student showcase: short talks (about 10 minutes) by students about a cool thing they did that uses Python.

Even though PyConAU isn't running this year, we're keen to run a Student Showcase for an event in September 2022!

Are you a high school student who has used Python in a project or class assignment? Are you hacking on something cool in your spare time? We want to hear about it!

Individual students or groups can apply to submit video talks. All levels of experience are welcome from complete novices to Python pros.

If all goes well, we'll host a live hybrid event in Sydney at the Microsoft Reactor with students, tech community and friendly faces joining in person and remote. If things change we will still have the same fabulous event, but online only.

If you are presenting as a group, please include the name & email of all other students:
Only one of you needs to put in the application, but we need to have everyone's name and contact information.
What is your talk's title? *
What is your talk's blurb? *
What are you going to talk about? What did you build? What worked? What didn't? What was the hardest part? How did you overcome it? Do you want to include a live or pre-recorded demo?
Is there anything else that you want to tell us?
Tell us a bit more about your cool thing! Was this for a school project? Is it 'not quite working but probably will be by September'? (That's absolutely fine!) Have you been coding since you were 2, or is this your first project? If there's anything you want to tell us that doesn't fit in the blurb above, here's the place to put it! :)
What school do you go to?
Email address of a teacher contact (or parent) *
