As a primarily volunteer-run organization, the BSA relies on volunteers that can support our programs. In short - we couldn't do it without our volunteer and parent coaches! Thank you for taking the time to share your interest in being a part of our team of volunteers!WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:- For most sports, we require a minimum of 2 volunteer coaches per team.
- Volunteer coaches are supported by the BSA Managing Director and the Sports Director for that particular sport. Coaches will NOT be responsible for administrative tasks such as registration, recruitment, promotion, payment, etc.
- Coaches will 1) work with their fellow co-coaches to create a training plan for each session; 2) create a WhatsApp group to communicate as needed with parents; 3) attend training sessions / games as scheduled
- Ideally, coaches have some experience in the sport they want to coach, but are not required to have prior coaching experience. We will provide training as needed.
- Coaches will be required to take BSA's online Volunteer Coach Training covering topics of Basic Health & First-Aid. In addition, coaches must also compete ISB's online Child Safeguarding Policies training. In total, the complete training should take about 60 minutes of your time.
- All trainings are currently held at the International School of Brussels.
