Program Application

Led by City Council Member Martha Lopez in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, the How Well Do You Know Me? Program empowers young adults to explore identity, strengthen leadership skills, and become effective advocates for change.

Over the course of seven months, participants will:

  • Take part in monthly in-person workshops on leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
  • Join virtual check-ins between sessions to build skills and reflect as a group
  • Participate in trips, including a visit to Washington, D.C.
  • Work on a community impact initiative that addresses a real issue affecting at least one marginalized population in Westchester County. 

Eligibility

  • Open to youth ages 17–24 residing in Westchester County.
  • Commitment to attend all program sessions and trips.
  • Interest in leadership, advocacy, or community change.

 Key Program Dates

  • Program Launch: October 4, 2025
  • In-Person Meetings: First Saturday of each month (11am-2pm) from October 2025 to May 2026 at the Boys and Girls Club of New Rochelle 
  • Virtual Zoom Check-ins: Third Saturday of each month (11am-12pm) from October 2025 to May 2026
  • Washington, D.C. Trip: April 17 – 19, 2026
  • Program Completion & Graduation: May 16, 2026
