Code for Africa (CfA) is Africa's largest network of civic technology and investigative data journalism labs, with over 110 employees in 26 countries. CfA develops digital democracy solutions that empower citizens with actionable information, fostering informed decision-making and strengthening civic engagement for better governance and accountability.
CfA offers a free online Guardian training course for members of civil society organizations (CSOs) focused on human rights and democracy. Information and digital security officers are especially encouraged to apply. This training will help participants understand AI threats, assess their organization's risk profile, and implement effective detection and protection strategies.
The training includes instructor-led webinars on digital self-defense, secure communication practices, and encryption tools. Participants will gain practical skills to protect sensitive information, implement secure file sharing practices, and improve their organization's digital security.
