Two ways to participate in ypsiGLOW: 1. Art piece/performance during event- Host a workshop for your members to create a performance or art piece that will be activated during the event (October 26th)- This can be a giant glowing mobile sculpture, interactive installation, window projections, live painting, dance performance, etc.- Think big, unique, and GLOW
2. Window installation/ mural as early as two weeks before event- Starting mid-October, your organization can activate a downtown window with a mural or installation- You are encouraged to see these storefronts as canvases or stages to create upon- There will be a shoutout in each window that credits your group. The sooner you activate your window, the longer your project will have exposure and create a sense of vibrancy in downtown- You are also encouraged to create a static window that becomes activated the night of the event. For example, creating an installation that comes to life with a performance artist the night of the event (if you are a performance group interested in this, please indicate below and we may be able to connect you with a visual artist).
3. **Eastern Michigan University Students, Faculty and Staff**Engage @ EMU, the office of outreach and community engagement in Boone Hall will match three (3) proposals with another stipend of $300 per artist. Must be EMU student, faculty or staff during the Fall semester of 2018. Your email will be submitted for verification of university affiliation.
Dream BIG. Make Ypsi GLOW. We are here to provide the funding and platform for you to share your vision with the community.
