For over 30 years LCD has been a wonderful day of family fun, community pride and patriotism because people and organizations like you generously support it financially through your sponsorships, Can we count on your support in 2026? We, and the rest of your community, would appreciate your help again this year.

Where does your sponsorship contribution go?

Lynden Canada Day is a not-for-profit event organized by a committee of unpaid volunteers from Lynden and beyond. Even with volunteer labour, the last Lynden Canada Day celebration in 2024 incurred expenses of over $40,000.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the City of Hamilton’s Community Partnership Program, Canadian Heritage program, the Lynden Lions and gate donations from the day’s delighted visitors, we raise all the funds required to cover our expenses. As a result of that generosity, the entire day - all activities & games, live entertainment, and the best fireworks show in the area - is entirely free for our community’s families. We think that’s a tradition worth continuing!
