THE GOLDEN KEY AWARDS RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING UTAH EMPLOYERS AND INDIVIDUALS who have made a commitment to supporting people with disabilities, including veterans, through employment.

The Utah Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and its partners host the annual Golden Key Awards. Award recipients are recognized by a representative of the Governor's Committee during the annual Disability:IN Utah Summit in Salt Lake City.

EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR

Recipients have made outstanding contributions to promote or improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities, such as:
• Efforts made to provide accommodations
• Training for managers, supervisors, or line staff to ensure effective working relationships
• Commitment to hiring people with disabilities
• Advancement opportunities within the company
• Efforts to promote positive awareness among all employees

NOTE: Employer of the Year nominees may submit letters of support from current employees or share documentation of their disability diversity recruitment efforts.
FREEDOM AWARD

Employers who recruit and hire disabled veterans.
ACE AWARD

An individual who actively promotes public and private efforts to achieve equal employment opportunities for Utahns with disabilities outside of their employment responsibilities. The award may also be given to an employee with a disability who overcame tremendous obstacles.
PROVIDER OF THE YEAR

A provider, community partner, or an individual who has done exemplary work in creating opportunities, pathways or innovative models to increase employment for individuals with disabilities. Efforts should be above and beyond what is expected in a typical situation. Please include examples or metrics to show how the effort has been exemplary.
ASAP ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

State agency with the best utilization of the Alternative State Application Program.
