1. InvitationI would like to invite you to take part in my research study. Joining the study is entirely at your discretion. Before you decide I would like you to understand why the research is being done and what it would involve from you. I am a postgraduate student at the University of Portsmouth and will conduct the study in conjunction with the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants (NIFA).
2. Study SummaryThis study is concerned with the legal professional’s perspective on forensic accounting in the UK. The study aims to gain insights into the opinions of legal professionals regarding their experience of using forensic accountants. Participation in the research would require you to answer survey questions and will take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time.
3. Why have I been invited?You have been identified as a potential participant by members of the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants (NIFA). NIFA members have not provided me with your name address or personal details.
4. Will my participation in the study be kept confidential?The survey does not require you to provide your name nor any identifying details and there is no way your participation (or otherwise) in the survey can be recorded. The survey results will be stored on a password protected website and encrypted on a password protected laptop. The collected data will be retained for up to 10 years. When it is no longer required, the data will be disposed of securely.
