JUMP Proposed Overall Structure, by Cameron Wilson (AHUA).

Year 1's
start on quarter/half-field games, once confidence is up and making good decisions, based on the checklist, progress to full field games, some kids will do this quickly, some might need a whole year.

Year 2's
start on the lower grade full fields (pairing the ones who achieved this the year before with the newer ones) and then once comfortable move up the grades, again using a Senior/Junior approach to the appointments, so one umpire who has done those games previously with one newer one, this is the basic premise of appointments that we use throughout the grades.
Aim that by mid-season the more advanced umpires will be put onto Prem games with experienced ones, the year 3's who achieved Prem games midway through their second year.

Year 3's
start as the senior's on Prem games to support the newer umpires, and then as more and more competent year 2's achieve this level, transition out to youth/college games, also include in mentoring the year 1's on a half field.

Is it proposed, that in the future CLUB/COLLEGE umpires will need to have completed the JUMP Program or Community Level with Mentorship?

Please RSVP by Sunday 29th March,

Thank you
