Books Save Lives: Author Chats in the Classroom
As part of WNDB's Books Save Lives initiative, we are dedicated to bringing authors whose books have been banned or challenged into classrooms nationwide.

If you are an author who has had at least one title banned or challenged and are interested in a virtual class visit in the fall of 2023, please fill out the form below. Visits will be 40 minutes in duration and feature an introduction by the author (10-15 minutes) followed by a question-and-answer period. Pay is $400. Each author's book(s) will be provided to the students.

Please provide documentation that your book(s) have been banned or challenged. Acceptable sources include: links to news articles, PEN America's Index of Banned Books, the National Coalition Against Censorship's Youth Censorship database, etc.

Questions? Email elissapetruzzi@diversebooks.org. If you are selected for a potential Author Chat in the Classroom, WNDB will contact you.
