The Re-Elect Brandon Scott for Baltimore Mayor campaign team is looking for campaign fellows for the 2024 primary election cycle.
What is it? The fellowship program is an opportunity designed to provide individuals with substantial, hands-on insight and professional development towards how campaigns function, inside of Baltimore’s highest level race in 2024, through working to re-elect Mayor Brandon Scott.
This program will be grounded on the fundamentals of direct voter contact, but also provide clear professional development opportunities for fellows to explore and build other areas of political expertise. This may include budget management, field planning, political communication, public policy writing, political and legislative research, digital media, and fundraising, to name a few.
When? The start date of the fellowship program is immediate and rolling. The fellowship lasts through May 31, 2024. The average weekly work requirement will be approximately 6-10 hours per week, commensurate to Election Day.
Where? Baltimore, MD. Remote positions are not standard, but may be considered for unique circumstances.
Who should apply? We are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their local community, especially those looking to begin their journey in Democratic politics. Whether you are in high school, undergrad, graduate school, or a non-student; individuals with interest in government, public policy, public health, communications, political science, community advocacy, or other relevant subjects are encouraged to apply. No prior political experience is required. This position will require availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
Why should I consider the fellowship program over standard volunteering? The fellowship program is much more hands on with the campaign manager, who runs the campaign, and who was himself a campaign fellow in 2020. You will have many more opportunities to see the inner workings of decision making and nitty gritty.
