AAFE's 10th Annual Career Conference
In AAFE’s Youth Development program students at three local Flushing high schools participate in service-learning activities, receive help applying for college, and leadership training. In the past year, 100% of the seniors in our program were admitted to college.

AAFE Career Conference is a traditional activity of our Flushing-based youth programs. We have hosted the Career Conference nine times with more than 120 youths and gathered many professionals from a wide variety of fields. Our goal is to help students learn about educational requirements in specific fields and the challenges and rewards of various professions.

As in 2020, this year we present our career conference online in a webinar series. We will feature eight different professional fields including Business & Management, Education & Social Services, Health, Creative Art, Law & Criminal Justice, Skilled Workers, STEM, and Legislation & Policy Work. We take part in panel discussions and more informal networking sessions.
