Point Harmony Dismissal Form
Point Harmony Elementary's 2018-2019 dismissal will be from 2:00 - 2:15 p.m. Unlike last year, our school will have all 7 buses on the parking lot at 2:00 p.m. for dismissal as we are the first school in our area to dismiss. Because of the additional traffic on our parking lot, we have four dismissal options available for families. These options are:

Option One: Bus student - All bus students will be loaded first during our new dismissal process. The bus numbers you have to choose from are: 1803, 904, 909, 1707, 1706, 1705, 905. All K-2 students going to the Y for aftercare will be riding bus 1707. All 3-5 students going to the Y for aftercare will be riding by 1706. If you are unsure of what bus # your child should ride, please click this here - http://edulog.kana.k12.wv.us/liveweb/webquery/

Option Two: Walker - Students in grades 3-5 have permission to walk home once a permission slip has been completed. Please ask your child's teacher for a "Permission to Walk Home" form at Open House or on the first day of school.

Option Three: Third Base - Parents arrange for their child to stay at the school and are supervised by the Third Base staff. This is a paid service. If you would like to find out more information about Third Base, please click here:

Option Four: Car rider - Once all buses have left our parking lot, car riders will begin to be loaded into your vehicle. We anticipate that this process will be about 10 - 15 minutes once students get used to our new dismissal procedures. The car line should begin to form at no earlier than 1:45 p.m.

Important:
- Please keep in mind that if you need to sign your child out for an appointment, then you need to do so before 1:45 p.m as congestion on our parking lot will begin at around this time.
- We realize that some family's schedules change day by day and may need to change their dismissal transportation options as well. Because of this, we ask that if your child will ever be picked up in the car line, please mark them as a car rider and communicate other transportation changes with your child's teacher. Doing this will allow our office staff to create you a car pick up number for dismissal. Also make sure to list the bus your child may ride below.
- If random transportation changes are needed, please call the school office by 1:00 p.m. so that we will have time to communicate these changes to your child and his/her teacher.
- Those indicating car rider as a dismissal option will receive a number card. This number must displayed in your car so the staff members on dismissal duty can read it.
- If someone other a parent or guardian is picking up your child, they MUST have your child's number card. We will give each family four number cards. If more number cards are needed, please contact the school office. ONLY give these number cards to individuals who have your permission to pick up your child from school.
- If you child will be riding the bus everyday, please indicate their bus number on the question below.
