Action Sunday Workshop Proposals
Starting September 28, 2025, FUCSJ is beginning a six-month Action Sunday experiment. Once a month, we’ll gather for a short 30-minute worship service in the Sanctuary, followed by 30- to 40-minute interactive workshops throughout the church building, some of which will also be available on Zoom.

Here’s where you come in! Do you have a skill that would lend itself to a 30- to 40-minute workshop with an uplifting or spiritual aspect that would help us grow our Unitarian Universalist values? Or do you just have an idea for a workshop you and/or your children would like to attend? Submit your idea on the form below for consideration by the Action Sunday committee. The deadline for submitting proposals for Action Sundays in September - November, is Monday, September 8th. Submissions received after that will be considered for later Action Sundays

Workshops should be 30-40 minutes long.

The fundamental goal for Action Sundays is to deepen relationships among people. Workshops must foster connections, perhaps in small groups or through shared participation in activities such as singing, preparing letters or postcards for social justice, or preparing a display for the sanctuary to reflect the monthly worship theme.

A great workshop is one where someone leaves saying “I just had a fascinating conversation with someone I didn’t know before” or one where people feel that they accomplished something together.
