Sprout City Farms is an urban agriculture non-profit cultivating educational urban farms that engage and strengthen communities in the Denver metro area. We have exciting plans to deepen the impact of our food distribution and education programs in 2018 and would be grateful if you would consider donating an auction item to our 8th annual spring kickoff fundraiser, Sprout Down at the Mercury Cafe! Your contribution will support our valuable community programs, while showcasing your business to 350+ individuals at our event! All donations are tax deductible.
Funds from last year’s event helped us accomplish great things in 2017, including:
• Growing over 20,000 lbs of food with the help of 700+ volunteers at the three 1-acre urban farms we manage in partnership with DPS (Denver Green School Community Farm), City of Lakewood (Mountair Park Community Farm), and Mental Health Center of Denver (Dahlia Campus Community Farm). • Providing 30% of our harvest to food access programs like donation-based farm stands at each farm, Farm to Cafeteria at Denver Green School, donations to neighborhood food relief programs, and weekly produce shares for people of all income levels (including SNAP) in SE Denver, and the food deserts of NE Lakewood and NE Park Hill. • Teaching thousands of children and adults about the importance of healthy food, how to grow it themselves, and how to be environmental stewards.
Please let us know how you’d like to help by completing the form below. If you have questions, please contact us at 720-319-8126, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for supporting the 8th Annual Sprout Down! We hope you will join us for all the fun on March 21st, 2018 from 5-8:30pm at the Mercury Cafe.
