Seeking Artists
Last year Somerville gained three new street art murals during the first summer of Somerville Street Art Project. (Check out information about last year's project at: http://somervilleartscouncil.org/muralproject2018

The Somerville Arts Council is seeking street artists for three new large-scale murals for our second year of this project. We anticipate these murals to primarily be on businesses and private buildings - walls not yet confirmed. These murals will be painted sometime between August 11 and Aug 30.

We're looking for accomplished artists to bring their diverse and contemporary visions to Somerville. Somerville is a city of immigrants, from all over the world, and we want art that reflects the pride and strength we have in our diverse community. We're looking for innovative and contemporary styles to bring additional color and vision to Somerville walls.

Seeking Walls
We're always looking for good walls for our next mural. If you are a business or property owners that has a large visible wall and is interested in participating please email neichner@somervillema.gov

Your answer
This project was inspired by the mural project that Beyond Walls produced in Lynn, MA. We hope this smaller scale mural project will emulate the energy of the Lynn Mural Festival. Check out their work at: https://www.beyond-walls.org/2017-mural-festival
