The Adopt-a-Dorm program was developed by the Seaver Parents Program to further build community for incoming students, while simultaneously supporting the efforts of Housing and Residence Life, including the Resident Advisors (RAs) and Spiritual Life Advisors (SLAs), who pour so tirelessly into our students' lives.
As an "adoptive parent" you have five unique opportunities each month to come alongside the residents and staff members in the following ways to help create a warm, welcoming, and nurturing "family" dynamic for all residents involved...
- Assist: Support the student-identified needs and WISH LIST items
- Donate: Financially enhance the house's HRL staff budget. Direct link- https://give.pepperdine.edu/seaver/adoptadorm
- Organize: Sponsor a meal/outing for the hall residents. See list of suggestions below.
- Pray: Commit to praying for the specific needs of the adopted house
- Treat: Send suggested care packages, treats, notes, and love
