Tennessee Bandmasters Association Sweepstakes Award Application 2024
The Tennessee Bandmasters Association presents the Sweepstakes Award to TBA members whose bands have met the following criteria during the previous school year:

-High School Bands: A Superior rating is required in 1} marching, 2} concert, and 3) sight reading. In band programs with more than one performing ensemble, the top ensemble must receive the superior ratings for the school to be eligible.

-Middle School Bands: 1) Superior rating in concert and sight-reading.
2) 50% of the band's enrollment must participate in the regional solo and ensemble festival, with 50% of those participating receiving a superior
rating.

Only concert festival assessments sponsored by the regional associations (WTSBOA, MTSBOA, ETSBOA) are acceptable for qualifying for this award. If a regional association does not sponsor a marching festival event, a privately sponsored event that has been sanctioned by TBA may be substituted. If a high school does not have a marching band, the middle school criteria applies.

This form is applicable to the 2022-23 school year. For example, a high school band must have made a superior rating at a marching festival or TBA sanctioned marching contest in the fall of 2022 and received a superior rating in concert performance and sight reading in the spring of 2023 to be eligible for the award in April of 2024. The superior ratings must be received in the same school year for a band to be eligible. Awards will be presented during the TBA Hall of Fame Concert at the TN State Music Conference in April, 2024.
